Interest Rate:
- For 1 year – 8.00 %
- For 2 years – 8.25%
- For 3 years – 8.50%
- For 4 years – 8.75%
- For 5 years – 9.00%
Account Opening Eligibility:
- Expatriate should be Bangladeshi citizen of 18 years or above.
- His Family (Expatriate, Beneficiary of remittance sent by Expatriate – only his wife/husband/mother/father/son/daughter/brother/sister and any blood relation).
Required documents:
1. Duly filled account opening form (Can open one or more accounts in own name or joint name).
2. Two copies of recent passport size photographs of the applicant duly attested by a customer/banker having an account in any branch of BKB.
3. Attested copy of applicant’s valid national identity card/smart card/birth certificate and attested photocopy of passport.
4. Beneficiary’s account should be opened with suitable proof (Succession Certificate, name of expatriate’s spouse in expatriate’s national identity card or name of parents in other cases etc.) Identification must be taken regularly.
5. Attested copy of TIN certificate along with income tax return attestation/authentication of the applicant.
5. One copy of photograph of the nominee (minors can also be nominated).
6. Attested copy of valid National Identity Card of the nominee.
7. All required information as per terms mentioned in account opening form.
